Well, maybe not every day; but often.
I started this newsletter as a way to impose discipline on myself to write a book I’ve been thinking about writing since around 2013 or 2014,
I finally registered this domain in 2015 and intended it to be the domain to market the book I intended to write. I published some sparodic blog posts but never imposed enough discipline on myself to actually to start writing the book.
Enter Substack. This platform seemed like the perfect fit to enforce that discpline by charging for access. If I’m asking people to pay for my content, after all, I become obligated to deliver.
The Substack platform offers more benefits beyond directly selling my content; it’s a marketing platform, too.
Since The Reputation Algorithm distills my 30 years of marketing experience, why not also discuss my thoughts on marketing this newsletter and my book?
So expect to see posts that lift the curtain on my journey to get this book written, the ways in which I’ll try to build an audience for the book as I write it, and the rationale behind the marketing strategy and tactics I’ll use to try an ensure its success.
(I’m salivating over that Fender Jazzmaster Elivis is playing, by the way. Way out of my price range, though. Maybe after I publish my book? 🤔)
