Really sharp take on how AI memory changes persona building. The shift from demographics to data trails makes alot of sense when models are literally constructing user profiles from conversation history. One challenge though is that most companies barely have their basic persona research done, let alone the behavioral tracking infrastrucutre to reverse-engineer digital twins. The gap between strategy and execution here is gonna be huge.

Thanks! You're spot on about the lack of persona research.

The other challenge is many senior decisionmakers have likely been soured on the value of personas all together.

One of my biggest frustrations throughout my career is once I created really deep personas, the client would incorporate them into their content management systems for junior level employees to decide which keywords or blog posts matched a given persona without really understanding the persona itself.

The persona was reduced to a dropdown menu in WordPress. Of course it was going to lose all its value!
